Forensics
Forensics is a collective term for scientific and technical fields in which criminal acts are systematically investigated. The term comes from the Latin forensis “belonging to the forum, marketplace,” since legal proceedings, investigations, verdicts, and punishments in ancient Rome took place publicly and mostly in the marketplace or Forum.
